“I’m lucky to love what I do - continuingly learning about our amazing environment, improving outdoor spaces and seeing clients renewed interest in plants and wildlife gives me a tremendous buzz.
Garden design involves such a variety of tasks, designs are produced increasingly via CAD software, developing planting plans specific to the site requires me to draw on & constantly expand my knowledge of plants, I can get my boots on and get out into gardens - surveying them, testing the soil and often getting stuck in with the planting. A good understanding of construction is also essential for garden specifications – I’m a firm believer in continual development and with the breadth of subject matter in this industry I keep very busy! I specifically enjoy the horticultural side of my work - the more I learn about nature, the more I am amazed, fascinated and humbled by it.
Did you know there are more organisms in a teaspoon of healthy soil than there are people in the world?”
