RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2005 - A Gold!

An illustration of the Room105 Chelsea Flower Show garden, created for our entry application
Below are a selection of images of our garden. You can appreciate that we have many, many photos so we decided to show only those of our finished garden. However, if you are interested in seeing some ‘behind the scenes’ images please let us know and we will include a few!
Every May an amazing transformation takes place at the grounds of the Royal Hospital Chelsea. This photo, taken in January, shows the boundary of where our garden will be built.
The Gold Medal winning garden four months later - after much anguish, sweat and toil!
A calm, contemplative gallery of contemporary glass screens. By day shadows of bamboo create movement through the transclucent images, by night the images are back lit.
Flooring is created from water cut Welsh slate and Norwegian quartzite cut into a geometric pattern that draws the eye to the centre of the garden. A mosaic water feature, with a water misting unit, emphasises the feeling of tranquility.

Glass benches appear to float in front of white irises and variegated grasses
Mr T enjoys some respite. As the patron of Writtle College Alan Titchmarsh presented us with our garden design diplomas, so it was sporting of him to provide us with a photo opportunity

Lotus berthelotii (Parrot’s Beak) in brushed steel containers - its’ feathery grey-green foliage and red beak-like flowers work well with the slate and steel tones.
Planting to follow…….
